Baxter

Today we bought a wee puppy. We have decided to call him Baxter - partly after James K. Baxter, a well known NZ poet.

Baxter's Mum is a Border Collie called Sky and his Dad is a Collie/Labrador Cross called Jake.

Baxter didn't mind travelling to his new home in the car but was not happy about his first bath.

After a big lunch Baxter decided it was best if he got to know his new mum and joined her on the couch to watch the TV.

Meeting Noah

The other week, Ping and I drove over to Nick and Lucy's to visit the latest addition to their family - Noah.  Noah was very quiet and well behaved. We also caught up with Ping's Aunty Caroline and Willow who kept us entertained most of the afternoon.

Summer is coming.

This weekend Don is away filming the Mountain Biking Champs so I decided to catch up with some friends in London. Dan, Leigh, Sis and me had our first picnic and BBQ of the year in Victoria Park.

We were then joined by Ben and Cat and three week old Max Biddington. He is pretty cute!
This afternoon I went for a stroll in the park - which is looking so pretty and colourful at the moment.

Garden Progress...

While Don is away in Istanbul filming the WRC I am keeping the seedlings and the garden watered.
The seedlings are growing and nearly ready to replant in the garden... although it still needs to warm up a bit!

The seeds planted into the garden are looking pretty good too....

We had Hannah Hill and Orla to stay over for Easter.  Hannah and Orla bought lots of yummy Easter eggs with them and Orla entertained us with her chirpy morning antics.

Ping has started a new job the past few weeks at a company called Camera Corps.  She is loving it and the people she is working with are great.

Don has been working for a few different companies including shooting a sports story with ESPN for Fantail Films. The shoot was in the ball room inside the Royal Hospital in Chelsea. The building was designed by Sir Christopher Wren.

Don has also been shooting for Warners Music to shoot and edit a film for a band called 'The Soldiers'. You can see the video here.

Silver Bells and Cockle Shells.

It's pretty much Spring over here in the UK so we have decided to get stuck into some gardening. Today we built a small vege garden in our back yard and filled it with compost, horse poo and dirt.

In go some potatoes....

We have lots of seeds germinating in the kitchen.

The first of the seeds are just starting to pop out of the dirt!

Also we built a wee bird house so we can help look after the local bird population.

London Wedding Party.

Recently we held a party in central London to catch up with our friends in London that couldn't make it to our wedding. We had a fantastic afternoon catching up with all our good mates.
