Introducing Rupert Rutherford.

On October the 11th at 9.23am Rupert Donald Payton Rutherford joined the team. Very punctual, arriving on his due date, he made a speedy entrance into the world and weighed in at a respectable 9lb 11oz.

Here he is - the first few hours.

And resting beside Mumma before we headed home.

Alby and Charlie are absolutely besotted with their little brother. They love to hold him and kiss him and squeeze him quite a lot...

Rupert kindly gave the boys an easel as a welcome present which the boys are loving... They helped Daddy put it together.

Don has been doing a great job looking after the boys while I have been recovering and looking after Rupert. They have had heaps of fun - playing at the Village Centre and lots of walks in the park...

Here are some pictures of Rupert - 11 days old.

He is doing really well - putting on 90grams in the first 5 days! Another hungry baby who feeds quite often and who sleeps more during the day than at night... He has a great set of lungs on him and uses them often!

We'll keep you posted with his and the big boys progress - when we can find the time!

Love from Anna, Don, Alby, Charlie, Rupert and Baxter x

The Steam Fair and other pictures.

Hi Folks,

While were are waiting for baby number 3 to arrive we have been out and about at the local steam fair.

Here is a video of the day:

And here are some photos from the past month...

Charlie is constantly surprising us with new words.. on this occasion it was 'stuck!'

Our vege garden has been relatively successful this year and we have learnt what will work again for next year.

We have had a few catch ups with our friends Mo and Jeremy and their wee man Mylo. Mo is due on the 23rd of October.

On Fridays, it is customary for the boys to head down to the local for a few quiets.

Alby and Charlie have been growing as friends and every now and then they play together really well.

We haven't had much rain for most of the summer so when we had a downpour recently, the puddles were a real novelty.

This was a classic moment and we are so glad we have it on camera. Alby was very upset that we took his pen away from him and Charlie thought the whole episode was quite entertaining. It took half an hour of scrubbing to get the felt pen off the walls.

We have been treated to a very mild Autumn so far, with most days averaging around 18 degrees C. Maybe this is the reason for some really interesting fungi growing in the park. The boys have been helping to spot it while we walk Baxter and we have been trying to have a good look at the fungi rather than squish it.

Here are some snaps we took of the boys with Anna and her bump.

And finally to the steam fair - The Carter's steam fair comes once a year and it is a noisy, colourful and exciting day on the village green for the boys. It is a very traditional fair with several of the rides still driven by steam and all beautifully hand painted.

Hopefully we will have some news of the new arrival in the coming week.

Ciao.
