Camping and the beach.

Summer is trying to make an appearance around here but its still not that warm. Alby has been enjoying the dandelions in the park though and Charlie thinks he's pretty clever with Alby's scooter.

A few weeks ago when Don was away I took the boys for a long weekend with our great friends Lou, Wash and Gabe. We stayed at Lou's Aunty's house in a seaside town called Selsey. It was a lovely weekend and the weather was great.

On the Sunday we visited a lovely sandy beach called West Wittering. Alby and Charlie were both very keen to get their kit off and get in the water.

Ice cream stop.

We discovered a great park for the kids and Alby decided he was big enough to use the skate park.

Picnic on the lawn before heading home.

Back in Englefield Green Alby his first hair cut. He was a little angel.

We had such a lovely time at West Wittering we decided to take Don back there camping. We found a great campsite and the boys thought the tent was pretty cool before it went up - it was even better once it was up - Alby calling it his 'Castle'.

He had a blow up mattress to sleep on and had to snuggle in for a test run at about 11am...

We went to the local stoney beach on our first night for a picnic. Uncle Mark came too and was a huge hit with the boys.

Charlie had his first ice-cream. He loved it!

And enjoyed lots of cuddles with Dadda.

Bath time was in this tub much to Alby's amusement.

The next day was spent on the beach playing football, eating sand and sandwiches, digging holes and building sandcastles.

The sunsets were amazing and Uncle Mark did some fly fishing practice.

He headed back to London on his motorbike and left us all alone in our field.

It was a wonderful couple of days and we have now got the camping bug... More trips to come!

Charlie no longer just walks, he runs... And is not happy to be left sitting in the pushchair anymore.

The boys love exploring in the bushes.

And continue to be best mates (especially when they are getting up to mischief).

Alby carries on being a character - or a 'Cool Dude' as he refers to this look.

Charlie is also becoming a bit of a trickster and loves exploring.

Don is now officially a British National and the passport application is in the post. He said he felt like he was a real Brit after he was given his Certificate of Naturalisation and he bought a wind break for the beach...

Ice cream in a cone for pudding. Yum.

This week Grandma and Granddad arrive. We can't wait to see them and hear all about their trip around North America. We have lots of exciting things planned for them so will keep you posted.

See you soon.
