Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I'm enjoying being here in NZ - here is me on the lawn in the nuddy. It is fun crawling around in the sun.

Uncle Toby came back from London this week and it was a big surprise for Topsy who didn't know that he would be home for Christmas.

Sometimes I have been hanging out with Topsy and Mum...

And sometimes I have been helping dig the spuds for Christmas dinner,

We went to Mt Bruce wildlife sanctuary with Theresa, Glyn and their little man called Theo.

I want to go back there... grrrrr

This is me helping with the sun umbrella...

And doing some gardening...

Tim let me help him sort out the booze for Christmas too.

I think we are ready for a great day.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us.

Hi from Aussie

Hi Alby, how's it going? I see you are much steadier on your feet these days and I cant wait to catch up with you again next week so you can tell me everything you have been up to.

I am working in a place called Freemantle which is near Perth in Australia. When you are in Australia you have to were a stupid looking hat to keep the sun off your face - it can get pretty hot out on the water.

They have pretty good sunsets here in Freemantle and we are working right on the coast so we get to see them most nights.

I am shooting sailors racing each other in the Sailing World Championships. It's kind of a big deal for the sailors as they are hoping to use this competition to qualify for the Olympic Games in London 2012. The company I am working for are sending the pictures we film all around the world and we are working very hard.

Although I am mostly working on the water, the production is based in a car park near the shore and we have several big trucks that process all the pictures we are shooting as well as lots of edit suites full of very hard working editors.

At night we are staying in this university accomodation which is pretty basic so we try and lighten the mood by having a couple of beers with the other guys on the crew before heading to bed.

We now only have 4 more days of work to go and then I will be packing up and heading back to NZ to see you again.

Be good to your mother and give her a big cuddle from me.

Love from Dad.

Dear Dad,

How are you? Is Perth fun? Is it very hot?

I'm in Masterton now staying with Topsy and Tim. We have been very very busy seeing lots of people and meeting loads of new friends.

Before we arrived we had a few more days in Auckland with Poppa Chuff and Mary. I found some cupboards that were very fun to play in.

We also got into the Christmas spirit and put up the Christmas tree.

Then we got on a very small plane and flew to Masterton where Topsy and Tim picked us up. Don't worry Dad, I was very good for Mumma and slept all the way.

First stop in Masterton was to catch up with my very good friends Hannah, Orla and Sylvie!

I met a new friend Lizzie. She made me laugh lots.

Then Mumma took me on a drive down to Martinborough where we saw lots of her old school friends and their babies.

Then we went back to Hannah and Jon's for dinner. I had a bath with Sylvie Dot.

And did some jumping with Jon and Stu.

The next day Topsy had her Christmas concert at preschool. I went with Mum and I met this very strange man...

Then guess who came to see me! My cousins Otis and Ted Ted! We had a bath together - I got a bit upset cause they were a bit loud.

Topsy was very pleased to have all her grandbabies with her and we love her lots!

It was so cool to hang out with my cousins but it all got a too much when I caught a tummy bug and was a bit sick. I'm better now thank goodness cause it was pretty yucky.

On Saturday I went to a 3rd birthday party. It was for Jasper Bunny and was so much fun.

Here I am in the bath again! This time with Pia Bunny who is 1 day older than me!

Thats all for now Dad. I miss you lots but as you can see we are keeping very busy. 9 sleeps till you are here. We can't wait!

Love Alby.

Hello from New Zealand!

We made it! We are here in New Zealand and having a wonderful time. It is very warm and everything is very green and smells really good. Mumma says the coffee is just delicious! Everyone is very friendly and gives me lots of smiles and cuddles.

On Saturday we went on a very long plane ride. Here we are at the check in. I made sure I smiled at everyone so that they didn't get upset with me when I cried on the plane...

On the plane I tried to be very good. They gave me this great bed to sleep in which was very comfy.

Mum was pretty comfy sometimes too.

My bed was fun to play in too - although I often tried to climb out of it.

After 26 hours we landed in Auckland. Poppa Chuff came to collect us.

I was very pleased to meet him!

It is lovely and warm here and I can eat my dinner outside.

And have my bath outside too.

Mum and Dad think they might get me one of these cool backpacks. I think its a great idea.

We have done lots of visiting in Auckland. Here I am with my cousin Felix (his mum Nick and my Dad are 1st cousins).

Here they are with Felix and 9 week old Ari.

Then we went to see my friend Leon who has recently moved home from London. He lives near Kare Kare beach so we went to check it out.

I loved it!

I've been spending lots of time with Aunty Molly.

And Mary too.

Uncle Will is here too but he says he's too big for cuddles...

How could you not want to cuddle this!

We also caught up with Dad's friend Carthew. He has a really cool house in Grey Lynn.

It is so much fun being in New Zealand! I've even been giving Mary some piano lessons...

And teaching Chuff how to use the computer!

Dadda left for 3 weeks in Perth today. We are going to miss him lots and lots but can't wait to have 6 whole weeks with him when he gets back.

Mum's taking me to Masterton on Monday to visit Topsy and Tim. I can't wait for that.

Oh and I don't think I've told you how clever I am at standing... I pull myself up on everything and even try to let go and stand by myself! It's pretty fun.

See you soon! xo
