Please Sponsor Alby!

Next Tuesday Alby is taking part in a Splashathon as part of his last swimming lesson to raise money for Tommy's - a charity which researches stillborn, premature birth and miscarriage. As part of his usual lesson he will do an extra 'swim' and I think there are prizes for the best one... It would be great if you had a few extra pennies to sponsor him. Here is the link.

Alby says 'Thanks!'

A few weeks ago we took part in another fundraising event - this time to raise money for Cancer Research. The Mummies from our NCT group did a 5k walk at Kempton Park. We raised £370 online and I know some of the girls had other sponsorship too so I think we did pretty well!
Here are a few pics from the event.

We all had a lovely walk and thank you to all who sponsored us!

Some of the Dad's came to support us and this is what they got up to while we were busy strutting our stuff... Hmmm.

Here are a few pictures from a picnic we had with Stan and Marion a few weeks ago.

And here is Alby on the floor of the new Camera Corps office. We went to visit everyone at my old work and see how they are getting on. It was lovely to see them all.

Check out Alby's rosy cheeks... Those together with the dribbling, chewing everything he can get his hands on and the rather loud screams that come form him make me think he is teething... Not sure if the necklace is working!

He also has a new chair. Cute!

Don has been away a bit recently so Baxter and I have been walking with our lovely neighbour Gillian and her dog Medlar. Him and Baxter have great fun and love fighting over sticks.

We are looking forward to Marion and Stan coming back on Sunday after their trip up to Scotland with Malcolm and Amanda. We are going to try and get to France for a few days with them. Alby's first overseas trip... He'll have to decide which passport to use since he is lucky enough to have two!

In the meantime Alby and I are heading into London for a city break tomorrow to stay in Hannah and Jon's neighbours house. We are looking forward to spending time with them as it is not long now before they head home to NZ.

Speaking of NZ we are in  the process of booking flights home for December and January. We are very excited to be able to come home for a couple of months to spend Christmas with some of the family and celebrate Joe and Asha's wedding. Yay. Can't wait.

Jolly Jumping!

Alby is getting very good at jumping!

Grandparents, birthdays and some jumping.

Hi everyone. It's Alby. I've got some really cool things to tell you.

Firstly my Grandma and Grandad Rutherford have come to see me. They arrived a week ago today and we have been having so much fun.

Here's me making sure Grandma know's how to use her phone.

And here I am with them while they eat their lunch. We were watching the tennis and I thought it was pretty exciting.

Grandma wanted to check on her emails and she found a picture of my cousin Lily on Facebook. Lily is very sweet but I was to busy smiling at Dadda.

We went to Oxford on Sunday to visit Uncle Malcolm and Aunty Amanda. Malc took us around the Botanic Gardens where he works.

And Dadda found little baby birds...

Would you believe this is only the 3rd time I have had a roll around on the grass? I do love it!

After the gardens we went and saw Aunty Amanda. I love her!

It was Dadda's birthday on Monday so Mumma cooked him a yummy breakfast and we opened some presents.

I helped.

Dad really wanted to go Mud Larking on the banks of the Thames for his birthday. This is when you go and find treasures in the mud on the edge of the river at low tide. Here's Grandma and Grandad seeing what they can find.

And this is what the treasures look like. A history of London in the mud.

I thought it was all very interesting.

And told Mummy all about it.

Later that day we went to the pub next door for a birthday dinner. Thats me all covered up supposed to be sleeping but I decided I'd rather be up chatting. When I asked him Dad said he'd had a very happy birthday.

I am getting much better at jumping in my Jolly Jumper. Dadda took these photos of me the other morning. I look very serious but I really love it!

As well as jumping I am getting pretty good at rolling from my tummy onto my back. Here I am halfway there.

Some other exciting news is that I meet my Great Great Aunt Theresa the other day. My Uncle Rupert and soon to be Aunty Fionna came over from New Zealand for a few days and we went to see Aunt Theresa in Sevenoaks. Lucy and Noah Oldham were there too.

A few weeks ago me and Mumma went had had lunch with our friends the Hills. Our other friends Mo, Jeremy and Mylo were there too. Look at me with Mylo, Slyvie and Orla.

And with Sylvie.

Me, Orla and Jon having a cuddle.

I was a pretty hot day so Orla had a jump through the sprinker. I wanted to have a go but Mum said I was too small.

And here is Mylo.

And Sylvie.

As always there has to be some more pictures of me. Here are four of Mum's favourites.

See you next time.
