Albion is 6 weeks old!

Albion was 6 weeks old on Tuesday - man that has gone quickly! We have been very busy catching up with friends. Albion would like to tell you about his week.

Hi everyone! Its been a busy week for me. I have had lots of visitors - Mum gets a bit upset and says no one comes to see her anymore - they only come and see me! Uncle Toby was my first visitor and he came on Saturday. We watched some cricket and a bit of football. He's pretty cool.

My next visitors were Cat and Gareth. They came on Sunday for a BBQ - Dad made some really yummy sausages!

It was a really lovely day so I wore this cool hat that the Hill's gave me - its a bit big but Mum said I had to wear it until she gets me one that fits.

My next visitors were Dan, Leigh and Nate Clearwater. It was really great to see them - they bought Mummy lunch and we hung out in the garden and then took Baxter for a big walk.

The health visitor came to see me last Friday to weigh and measure me before I went to see the doctor for my 6 week check up. I weighed 12lb 5oz or 5.6kg... I am in the 91st percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height as I am 57.5 cms long. Mum and Dad can understand where the weight comes from but they are a bit confused as to why I am so tall. I'm not complaining though. I'll be as tall as Dad in no time.

The doctor was very impressed too - he asked Mum if she was sure she wasn't giving me a formula feed cause breastfeed babies usually don't put on so much weight. She told him that I do want food every couple of hours so that probably had something to do with it!

Daddy has been very busy working on the buildup for William and Kates wedding (Prince William! and they are getting married on the 29th of April) and I haven't seen very much of him. He likes to make me laugh when he is home though and I especially like it when he dresses me after my bath.

They decided they needed some MORE photos of me so we had another photo shoot. Here are some of their favourites.

Lastly Mum took this video of me tonight after my bath - she wonders where I am running to... I'm just practising for when I can chase Baxter around the house!
See ya!

Alby's first party...

On Sunday we took Albion to his first party... It was our good friends Mo and Jeremy's engagement party/house warming and also a celebration of the baby they are expecting in May. Alby would like to tell you about it.

You know, I had so much fun at my first party. Mum says I was the best behaved boy in all the world - I think she exaggerates a bit - but I'd had such a good sleep in the car on the way there that I was very chatty when I arrived - after Mum had feed me of course - I didn't cry once and even had a sleep while I was there.

I saw lots of my friends... here I am with Uncle Mark

He thought I had lots of hair - not as much as him though...

In other news I think Mum has a bit of a problem... She won't stop taking photos of me. Apparently I am the cutest boy in the whole world and I need to have photos taken all the time. Here are some of the latest.

She also thinks its funny to dress me up...

I don't like it very much though.

I have been doing LOTS of smiling - Mum and Dad think its great and they tell me the silliest jokes to try and get a giggle out of me. Sometimes they are quite funny...

We have been having some very lovely weather over here and the plum tree looks really pretty with the blossoms on it.

Mum and Dad took me to the garden shop to get some plants. It was quite fun although I got a bit sick of it at the end and Mum had to take me to the car and feed me cause I was making quite a lot of noise. Here are the plants we got. I'll get them to take some photos of the garden soon so you can see where they went.

Mum and Baxter watched while Dad cut the hedge at the front of the house the other day... I don't think they were very helpful but they had fun watching people walk by.

Also I went to visit my friends Hannah, Jon and Orla today. I went to their house on the train and it was really fun. The movement and the sound made me a bit sleepy though.

I especially loved the cuddles that Orla gave me... She is going to be such a good big sister!

Check out this funny picture of my dog Baxter... He really is the coolest dog!

And these are some pictures Dad took of him. He's very handsome.

Here's a wee video of me having a laugh with Mum. See you soon!

Mother's Day

This weekend it was Mother's day so I got mum a pressie from the garden centre in the park.

I am pretty sure she liked it (cos I heard her saying she wanted one anyway!)

I had a go in my swing that mum got for free from freecycle.org. I like it sometimes and other times it's a bit boring.

I prefer hanging out with Baxter, he is pretty chilled out. He sits beside me when I am playing and looks out for baby snatchers.

Dad keeps singing 'you look like a monkey and you act like one tooo'  - I don't know why.

Speaking of monkeys, I made friends with Suzy this week. She came to visit and gave me a cool t-shirt with a dinosaur on it. Thanks Suzy!

Also this week, I had a bath in the big bath which made me so relaxed I may have made a little mess in the water. (oops!)

AND......... I have learnt how to smile!

See you soon!
